One of the most entertaining World Cups is coming to an end :(
France and Belgium was an epic match. France really got lucky with that one goal. This could have easily gone to a shootout. The one thing France has is a strong defense (including their goalie). As we say defense wins you championships and right there defense won that game for France. Belgium is probably quite upset with that loss. England and Croatia was a very entertaining game. England has made this far based on a bracket that allowed them to sneak into the semi finals. They almost lost against Colombia and got through with a very good goalie. This is where experience is needed and the Croatians, with experience, definitely didn't give up after the one goal (a superb goal by Trippier) scored by England. England decided to lay back a bit after that very early goal also it seemed like they underestimated the fitness of the Croatian team. Croatia was playing better in extra time than they were in the first few minutes of the game. England has a good young team hope they can develop the core for a threat in the Euros. England was definitely humbled by the way the Croatians played. On to the next games. Belgium is probably going to be looking at this game against England a must win. France and Croatia have met before in 1998 semi final where France went on to win the World Cup. I am sure Croatia has this in their mind. Here is how we line up for the weekend games...
Zak: England wins 1-0, France wins 2-1
Ziyan: England wins 1-0, France wins 2-1
Arifa: Belgium wins 3-1, Croatia wins in shootout
Farz: Belgium wins 2-1, France wins 3-2
