Lots going on since I went out of town. I know many of you have been waiting impatiently for a blog update from the #NATHOOLIGANS :)
We are of course very unhappy to see no team representing Africa (except France lmao!) in the next round. Senegal and Nigeria were definitely two that I would have liked them to get through. Nigeria lost against Argentina which I am ok, sad but ok with it due to my own reasons. Senegal losing out on fifa fair play points definitely hurts a lot. I am not too sure about the fifa fair play points, it gives the refs a lot of power but at the same time teams will stop doing the silly things that effect the game. Unless after the game is done and the fifa discipline body looks at all the cards again after the game and makes sure they were all legit then I definitely see an advantage to this system. I was happy to see Tunisia win a game! Oh ya and that thing that Argentina got really really lucky to get through the next round. It wasn't luck it was all a strategic plan to kind of stay under the radar. But wait!!! Last years World Cup winners, Germany, has been knocked out of the group stages. NOW THAT IS NEWS!!! German engineering may have a flaw and has been cutting corners with their emissions (lol). They will be back though. England fans are of course thinking that they are now going to win the cup but they can't underestimate Colombia. This is turning out to be very interesting... ok enough rambling... let's do some picks.
France - Argentina is going to be a very good game. Really really hoping the "the magician" ... "the maestro"... shows us the Messi magic. Vamos, Vamos, Argentina!!!
