What a day!! But first a sincere apology to Chloe for not calling out our picks for the France vs Australia game, it was an early game for us :) The Socceroos are one of those teams that really play with a lot of heart, although, I would have been calling Les Bleus to win easily this match it didnt look like it at all. Would have been awesome if Australia could have brought out a tie. They have a chance to go next round if they play like that for sure! Now on to today's games, I think Serbia was expected to win so Zak and I called it with me calling the exact score. What a strike by Koralov.. wow!! And then Germany to lose against Mexico! No one expected this.. the odds were 1 in 7 for Mexico to win. This is amazing for sure. The best on this day is Brazil (my dads team) not winning against Switzerland. Dad is probably turning in his grave to see a tie against Switzerland!! Happy Fathers Day Dad (lol) love you and miss you!
On to our predictions! We have to start wondering about the obvious wins after today.
Zak: Korea wins 3-2, Belgium wins 1-0, England wins 3-2
Ziyan: Sweden wins 3-2, Belgium wins 1-0, Tunisia wins 4-3
Arifa: Korea wins 1-0, Belgium-Panama tie 2-2, England wins 2-1
Farz: Korea-Sweden tie 1-1, Belgium wins 2-0, England wins 2-1 (I wouldnt be surprised by a tie here)
